A Musical Rebellion
Royal Albert Hall, SW7 2AP , [Venue Details]A protest in harmony. A future reimagined.
A Musical Rebellion is co-produced by Tri-borough Music Hub and the Royal Albert Hall, and in partnership with the Royal College of Music.
This multi-school performance will amplify the voices of young people from across Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster's state-school communities, bringing them together to erupt the Royal Albert Hall with the power of protest songs in a magnificent showcase of their talents.
Starting work on the programme in 2025, their ideas and teamwork over two years will create a professionally composed production in collaboration with composer Sally Greaves and a once-in-a-lifetime performance. With a focus on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), the show will interrogate themes of racial, gender, LGBTQ+ and SEND equity / equality, climate justice and war, violence and displacement.
The aim of A Musical Rebellion is to work towards positive solutions with hope at the core, giving the young people within our communities a platform to explore the power of music and their own creativity.
